BUTT (broadcast using this tool) is a free piece of software that allows you to connect to your SHOUTcast or Icecast stream and broadcast live. As long as you connect using the method below, the switch from auto dj to live to auto dj is seamless for both the DJ and listener.

(1) Download and install BUTT https://sourceforge.net/projects/butt/
(2) Create a DJ in your auto dj/server panel (ie. Centova Cast, WHMSonic, Azuracast, etc) Make sure you restart your server after you create each DJ to apply.
(3) Open the settings in BUTT, the ADD Server. The name can be anything you like, the server must be either the ip address or hostname, the port number must be the SHOUTcast port and NOT the DJ port (BUTT automatically finds the DJ port for SHOUTcast). The password will be the username and password you created for the DJ account combined with a colon separating the two  ie username:password

You should now be able to click on the small connect to server button.
